OK, look close and you might see a blurry smudge low and to the left on the big garden in background, that's a big group of people gathering for a concert. And way down below are thousands of tiny spots of orange that are groups of bees and others......Oh, hell, just use your imaginations.........!!

I always love this setting. The idea of these hanging gardens just seems unique.
How are they used in the great game?

Predator versus Prey. Predator in this world tries to capture the Prey and feed non lethally off their stored food reserves - orgasmically. Prey tries to evade capture. Others may gather to watch and cheer and critique the contest. Stings paralyse with pleasure not pain. If captured the Prey has to surrender and suffers prolonged orgasmic delights and is released unharmed but much thinner several days later after which they are able to eat and quickly recover due to their amazingly resilient and durable metabolisms. That's the Great Game in Ed and Kishma's wonderful fantasy world of Cyeatea.

At a mere guess the Hanging Gardens are a good venue to view and engage in said Great Game.

Inside the Hive there's a blanket truce, which means predators don't prey on others except in designated areas, which include some of the gardens.. The Arena is another. It may take a while, but we'll get to the Arena eventually.

Incidentally, the guy in the centre of the picture... is me. He's my honeybee avatar, resembling a younger, fitter me with perfect teeth, as a Cyeatean honeybee.

We're all entitled to be however we like in our dreams everyone. Perfectly fine. Personally I picture myself as a reasonable fellow in my fondest dreams. Others might not agree this is a true reflection of character but never mind. Hooray for dreams.

they built all that from the hex blocks from a few pages back?

Must of taken millions of worker bees to build it just one bowl

Hi, The hex blocks are a decorative addition to some motifs. And it would only take a few thousand worker bees and their anamorphic three-D printer technology a few months to build it. However, the great Hives were created by the giant race of oomans, tens of thousands of years ago.

Thank you for asking. Ed.
